Maruti Suzuki India Unveils the All-New Jimny 5-Door and Fronx at Auto Expo 2023
Maruti Suzuki India Limited, a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation in India, announced the global unveiling of two all-new SUV models—the all-new Jimny 5-Door and the all-new Fronx—at Auto Expo 2023, held in the suburbs of Delhi, India, from January 11, 2023.*
Maruti Suzuki will begin sales of the all-new Jimny 5-Door and the all-new Fronx during Fiscal Year 2023. With these additions, Maruti Suzuki’s SUV lineup will expand to four models, offering customers a wider range of choices in India’s growing SUV segment.
The Jimny 5-Door and Fronx are also scheduled to be exported to markets including Africa and Latin America.
Overview of the All-New Jimny 5-Door
Production and sales of the fourth-generation Jimny began in Japan in 2018, followed by exports to markets such as Europe and Oceania. The model has been well received by customers around the world.
In November 2020, production of the Jimny began in India exclusively for export to markets including Latin America and Africa.
The fourth-generation Jimny will be introduced to the Indian domestic market for the first time as the all-new Jimny 5-Door. This new version features newly added rear doors, creating a five-door configuration, along with specially designed rear seats and interior finishes optimized for the additional rear passenger space.
The Jimny 5-Door delivers the authentic off-road driving performance expected from a Jimny, similar to the three-door version. At the same time, the new model incorporates design features and equipment intended to appeal to a broader range of customers.

The all-new Fronx is a new-generation SUV featuring a distinctive, flowing coupé-inspired design combined with a compact body that is easy to drive.
